    Wong Sher Maine writes for her wallet and makes music for her soul. By day, the former Straits Times journalist is a freelance writer who has written books for the likes of the Singapore Sports School, Singapore Manufacturing Federation, Speak Mandarin Campaign, and Capitaland. By night, the former Singapore Youth Orchestra violinist is a freelance musician who plays for re:mix and a few other groups.

    Vivien Goh has been nurturing generations of violinists in her 40-year career as a violin teacher in Singapore. As Music Director and Reident Conductor of the Singapore Youth Orchestra (1980 to 1990), she set the blueprint for the unprecedented 35-year uninterrupted existence of this national group. She was awarded the Cultural Medallion in 1980. She is the author of "Goh Soon Tioe - One Great Symphony", a biography of her father published in 1992.
