Signal to Noise

In signal processing, the signal-to-noise ratio is a measure that
compares the strength of a desired signal against background noise.
Today we have access to huge amounts of data, yet it has become
exceedingly difficult to extract the truth.
The poems in this book were written in scattered bursts over the
decades, without any sustained theme or overall concept in mind.
Yet patterns emerged from the randomness, and some poems written
years apart became seamless placed side by side. Real life got in the
way of completing the book, but was also the source of experiences
and second-hand stories that fed the poems.
